Ancy Poids Lourds, a commercial bodybuilder
The company was founded on the current site in Ancy sur Moselle by Jean-Marie Rouch on 2nd August 1982. It developed and moved towards heavy goods vehicle (HGV) and light commercial vehicle (LCV) body building, and building on innovative projects bringing new solutions to the transport industry.
The diversity of its products enables the Ancy Poids Lourds team of 30 employees to satisfy its customers’ requirements.
Our savoir faire in body building enables us to be constantly developing concepts to improve the transport and loading of all types of goods through the action of our Design Office and Research & Development departments.
The range of our activities is as follows:
- Body repair shop: our workshops are equipped with a chassis jig, and laser cab and chassis realignment equipment.
- Our Paint department includes 2 HGV paint booths, a commercial vehicle booth, a sandblasting booth, and a paint laboratory with all the necessary colorimetry equipment.
- A bodywork construction workshop dedicated to the construction and assembly of all types of equipment, tipper bodies, cranes, hydraulic arms, van bodies, curtain siders, etc.
- A carpentry workshop in which we do the internal fitting out of commercial vehicles (mobile workshops, hearses, vehicles for handicapped persons, refrigerated vehicles, etc.)
In 2008, we decided to invest in the design and production of a brand of mini semi-trailers called ECOROAD (CE standard). They can be driven by the holders of B+E or C1E licences. A simple commercial vehicle designed for customers concerned about the environment, and which enables them to carry as much equipment some HGVs. An eco-responsible product using an ultra-light semi-trailer to optimize transport.
Two years later, the company created a fire engine unique in France; a super lightweight emergency response vehicle that can be driven with a B category driving licence.
